The Courage Library is a permanent collection within The Courage Review devoted to preserving true stories of courage across time, place, and circumstance.

Each story is curated for: moral choice, personal risk, voluntary action, consequences, and modern relevance

What would you have done?

Was the sacrifice justified?

When the cost becomes real, what matters most?

Is integrity more important than loyalty?

We believe courage is not reserved for heroes. It appears in ordinary people, private moments, and difficult choices that might otherwise be forgotten. Sometimes it changes the course of history. More often, it quietly shapes the lives of individuals, families, and communities.

Here you will find narratives drawn from history, biography, memoir, journalism, family history, public records, and personal accounts. Through carefully researched storytelling, we seek to illuminate the decisions that define character when doing the right thing carries genuine consequences.

Our interest is not in perfection or mythology, but in humanity itself: fear, sacrifice, integrity, responsibility, resilience, and moral conviction.

Some stories will revisit well-known figures. Others will recover lives that history has nearly overlooked. All are selected because they reveal something essential about what it means to act with courage.

The Courage Library is an ongoing archive. New stories will be added regularly.
